Emotional stress

Anxiety, panic, emotional pain, anger, separation, aversions, compulsive behavior and aggression are all expressions of emotional stress.

On the long run, an emotional overload in any kind of relationship – be it private or business – can affect the mental and physical balance.

A common situation in social interaction can trigger destructive feelings and behavioral patterns. As a result, consciousness and sub-consciousness may not work hand in hand, so that goals are not achieved or are unconsciously sabotaged. Emotional, mental or physical blockages may appear.

Emotional stress overlays our ability to think clearly and inhibit our daily activities. This condition is due to the fact that our emotional brain (the limbic system) affects the area of the prefrontal cortex, which in turn is involved in planning, problem solving and abstract thinking.

Negative experiences and suppressed feelings can lead to unconscious avoidance, overreactions or blockages later in life. They do inhibit a person’s ability to enjoy life at the fullest and to explore all of her/his potential.
